Why do we get depressed? Depression has become widespread in the world, that more and more people are seeking medical and professional advice on to how to deal with this kind of problem. It is something we should not take for granted as it may lead to a very serious problem. Depression may spring from different factors: it may be from fatigue, fear, frustration or trauma. All these factors may contribute to cause you to become depressed. Signs of depression includes: aloofness, suspicions, restlessness, distrust, addiction (to food, drugs, alcohol) and passivity. They are always in denial. Sometimes they think going to a psychologist or a psychiatrist would affect their reputation. Be real, accept what's going on with you. Help yourself, nobody else knows how you feel better than you do. Forget about what other people think instead, think of the positive effect it can give you. Don't pressure yourself. Forget about expectations, it burns you out if you can't meet them. Learn how to think positively. Be kind to yourself, love it and take care of it. It's the only thing you got. You will never learn to be happy outside if you are not happy inside. So deal with depression while it's early. And know that depression may go back anytime. People usually who think they get over with depression are the ones who take suicide. It usually occurs when a person has gathered more strength. Beware of what depression can do to you. Always seek social support from friends and most importantly from your family.
